Star Alert, a free Metropolitan State University emergency notification system, makes it possible for students, staff and faculty to receive notice – by cell phone and/or email – of campus related emergencies or events that impact campus operations.
               
Students, staff and faculty are automatically registered using information they have previously provided to the university.  You may view or change your Star Alert contact information through this web site.  Please note you must click “Sign Me Up” if this is your first time logging in.

When signing in, you will be asked for an Identification Code.  This code is your MnSCU issued StarID username.  Please use your Metropolitan State University email address where prompted.

Minnesota State collects your personal contact data to enroll you in the Star Alert Notification System.  Minnesota State will use this data to provide you with Star Alert Notifications and administer the Star Alert Notification System.  You are not legally required to provide your personal contact data, but if you do not, this would limit our ability to send you Star Alert Notifications.  Minnesota State’s employees who administer the Star Alert Notification System will have access to this data, as will other Minnesota State employees with a business need to access this data.
